Over the weekend I went to pick up this thrift store coffee table that I had found at a consignment shop the week before, but there was no room in the car that day. Had a great day and shared it all on my Instagram. “Antique” Highlights on Instagram [HERE].
I’m always on the lookout for unique coffee tables and while walking through a consignment shop I spotted this one in the clearance room for 70% off…
she’s nice She is unique and fun! I’ve hinted at the direction we’re headed in decorating when embarking on these major renovations.I really add “cottage” to the way I describe my style. Cozy Cottage Farmhouse Style. Think patterns, hand-painted items, quirky statements and whimsy. The list goes on. This falls under quirky and hand-painted.I love Bruce and knew she would do well in our front living room, especially after they started redecorating, but she still looks pretty here. I loved [& the price] So I knew it was worth getting if I wanted to paint it, modify it, or strip it. , but you can also paint over the shells on the sides. We will keep you posted on this.
I believe this piece is from a Google search of part of LaBarge’s ‘alexandrine collection’ from the 1950s, but I couldn’t find much, so please don’t cite it. But it would be great to learn a little more about these pieces we picked up. I know the brand is more ‘high end’ and this coffee table is heavy so I think it’s a good find!
For the time being, I put it in the living room in front of the entrance. I’m excited to style it and see what we do with it as our space transforms and reaches its full potential. ?
