Last week, I shared that I am decluttering. Elimination naturally leads to motivation for cleaningIt’s magic! !
I realize I’ve never done a real cleaning routine. For the past decade or so, I’ve been lucky enough to have someone come to my house twice a month and really do the heavy lifting in the cleaning department. Someday, I may do the same thing again in this house. But for an introvert like me who works from home, having someone at home to do something even as amazing as clean was difficult for me. Since I’m a maker not a manager (old post but still applies).

I learned two things about cleaning my house this week.
1. I don’t know how to clean the mirror properly.
2. A mop is important.
Now I will explain.
mirror: The large mirror above the photo has streaks since the day I brought it home. I frantically googled “how to clean a mirror”. Found the answer. I ordered this Norwex cloth They really work, so you must be blessed with kittens. Just water!? My mirror is cleaner than ever! I have never heard of that company. Please don’t tell me they are a cult or are ruining the earth with their practices.I am not sure if I can accept it now not.
mop: I’ve been using fun but ineffective mops for 10 years, I’ve been using the Bona mop and while it’s easy and nice to clean up, it’s not great for real cleaning. It used to be that twice a month someone would come up behind me and do it right so it wasn’t much of an issue but now it’s starting to show up and how to mop it up like it matters I wanted to learn
after some research finished This is the end, it’s fun and sadly so ugly But I am happy to have it. For the first time since moving here (yes), I mopped the toilet and felt confident that it was clean.
