Happy Sunday to all who celebrate, and definitely Mother’s Day. We know this vacation is going to be a lot of fun, but we also know it won’t be easy for everyone for many reasons. So whatever you choose in life for your mother or for yourself, we celebrate it. Visit these fun links.
House tour of the week It’s like watching the most relaxing vacation in the form of a home. Naturally, this is a villa that the architect actually built in Spain. alessia school. Her use of microcement is really cool, but there’s a lot to take in and enjoy…so go have fun!

From Emily: My luggage to Costa Rica was very light (carry-on), so I had to think about which bathing suits to bring. It was a family trip, so I wasn’t planning on putting together any “nice things”.i had This Andy swimsuit It can also be used as a tank top, so I want to wear this on swimsuit days. This means it’s not too revealing and can be easily paired with jean shorts or your favorite nylon shorts that you often wear when swimming. In my opinion it looks cool, the buttons are low (which can be sexy), it has a support shelf (literally I can’t understand a piece that isn’t) and it has a double compression layer (hiding small bumps) . ). I get burns easily, so I like that it provides coverage without being a rash guard. One of the snaps came off (perhaps after she wore it 30 times), which was frustrating, but the first thing I did was reorder a new one (which should tell you something).saw it coming plaid So i am ordering it. I wear a small, normal size (not long torso). It has good coverage and a medium rise. I have two friends, each with a different body type. If you have a small upper body, this might not be your go-to, but anyone who doesn’t mind showing some cleavage without getting it all out there (and hiding the underarm area) For you, this is one to check out.
From Jess: Hi, I have some niche picks for you today! My brother is very good at telling me what he wants for his birthday or Christmas present. I was disappointed that the gift wasn’t amazing, but our interests couldn’t be more different, so this is for the best. I want him to love what he gets. I do the same with him and I always look forward to receiving presents in the mail, so I don’t mind the surprise part anymore. His birthday was in a few weeks and he was very into archery (actually a lot of fun if you’ve never done it) and needed a bow rack. Yes, the guy (I almost called him a kid because he’s his sister, but he’s 33 now so give him credit :)) has multiple bows. This was a hanging leather bow rack he sent me It’s handmade and made in Oregon, where his brother lives, so you don’t have to travel too far. Both are important to him (he is stricter and better, as am I). I usually search extensively on Etsy, but searching places near me is a simple hack to keep my carbon footprint down. Not always possible, but a good first try. This also makes a great Father’s Day gift for the archery-doing dad 🙂
Also from Jess: Niche Item #2…If you’re still considering gel x nails like we are, this is for you. I started to fall in love with nail charms. I don’t think I’m into heavily charmed nails, but one or two on one or two nails is something I’m into. I love minimalist styles, but it’s getting harder and harder to find designs that he likes and can keep him wearing for 4-5 weeks.Anyway, as you all know, I love abstract shapes, so when I find these little cuties I immediately hit the buy button on Etsy. Oh my manicurist asked me for a link when I finished my nails!!
From Ryan: What I really want to wear this summer is easy flowing dresses and This one It certainly fits the bill. I love the neckline and the tiered shape is so nice.
From Caitlin: I know I strictly included this in yesterday’s post, but there are a lot of options out there and this one in particular deserves a separate paragraph!!! rice field summer wedding guest dresses (Or let’s be honest, white can also be a great shower/rehearsal dinner option for cool gal brides!). It can be dressed up or down, the fabric is cool and comfortable, and the silhouette is very pretty. The cut and length are also perfect. It looks sophisticated and considered, but it covers the chest well and has a very sweet length (so if you’re looking for something a little more understated, this is the one for you) Great choice! ). It’s 100% cotton and the size is perfect. I’m usually a 12/14 but chose a 14 to fit my chest. This was the right decision. I’m going to a museum wedding in June (so much fun, right?!) and I can’t wait to get this done! Because it’s incredibly flattering and too unusually adorable to keep in your closet. anyway. I rave about this dress that makes you feel like a cheap Reese Witherspoon at the 2007 Golden Globes. (See The look I’m talking about, i swear. )
Also from Caitlin: About this article Asian Woman Named After Connie Chan – Written and filmed by two Connies. – It’s a great read. Please “WEEPING” together at the end. The whole piece is intuitively kind, hopeful, optimistic, and I love it. Remember how you felt watching Season 1 of Ted Lasso during the throes of the pandemic? very good. This was my favorite part. “At the photo shoot, photographer Connie Aramaki, 46, told Chung that his parents originally chose the name Connie because they wanted their daughter to become a journalist like Chung. . Now she understands what they really meant. “In other words, your parents want you to work hard, be brave, and seize opportunities.” It was audible. “I did it,” she said quietly, and I felt something unravel in her chest.“
From Mallory: I just bought it. this sandal I couldn’t love it more for summer. I love classic leather sandals (I wear them basically every day in the summer) and these tick all my boxes. It’s completely flat so it’s easy to walk on, the leather makes it look great, it elevates any outfit, and it’s super comfortable. I have the black but the tan is also very cute 🙂
From Arlinn: The older I get, the more frustrating I get when I see tangles of cord here and there. Maybe because there are more and more things to connect? These Appliance Code Organizers Especially for things that you don’t normally leave connected. Just wrap the cord neatly around the back so it doesn’t actually shift. I have a few appliances in my junk drawer that I haven’t picked up yet, so to cut down on the cords (in a nutshell??) I’m going to try it with what’s actually on the counter and see how I like it. you might see
Once again, happy mother’s day. See you tomorrow! xx
