Little desire or intention to change this dining nook for the living room reveal, it already has a whole new personality (never mind the secret family room in the background, until the magazine launches I can’t show you!). ). In case you missed it, we posted the first version of the dining nook a while ago and we really liked it.Then two things happened: 1. my friend Max Humphrey I needed to get my pillow back to use for his promotion. sunbrella + pindler line 2. The blue stool that was for the piano (which was very cute) has remained floating since the piano was moved upstairs (I loved it here). So, the weekend before a big shoot, I put a chair in the corner and it was quick and sturdy, even though I liked the vintage chair I had. ”How yes!’ said the whole family. Styling then took a new direction…and well…we’ll show you 🙂
Dining Nook Version #1 – All Sunbrellas and Vintage Chairs
Left Art (Vintage) | correct art | pillow fabric | cushion fabric | large candelabra (vintage) | small candlestick | switch plate | table (Custom) | Chair (Vintage) | Chair candelabra stand | vase (like) | plant stand (vintage)
i really love this version. A more docile version of me, but still with a lot of interest and fun. No complaints at all and it worked out very well for my family.

When I shot this, I actually ticked a box – dining nook, done.
Yet…my eclectic side came into play…

Left Art (Vintage) | correct art | blush velvet pillow | waist pillow | leather pillow | blue velvet pillow | cushion fabric | large candelabra (vintage) | small candlestick | switch plate | table (custom) | flights | hand chair (vintage) | hand chair black vase (similar) | Coffee cup | Plant stand (vintage)
OK kids, let’s go. It is very fun. Here’s why I love it – flights It gives you more space (not that we needed it, but visually it’s nice to have no back), and more importantly, it allows the table-based joinery that we love to stand out. . And once I had a stool there, I needed something at the end. Who wouldn’t want to butt at Emily Henderson (bonus points for commenters who know the reference and who named it). I bought that handchair over 10 years ago at Roundtop Texas for $200 and have been with her in every home ever since.

Obviously, some other things have changed as well. Japanese borofabric panels are the obvious focal point and I think they look great paired with modern stools and antique Irish chain quilts. I ended up putting other art on the mantelpiece, but the rags were so strong that I put the quiet, large framed art. Cy Twombly I’ll put the lithograph here instead. These pillows are not specially selected, so I still want to adjust them, but I love them. I’ve been wanting to make a few Sunbrella pillows because the velvet pillows out there are a little on my mind (I finally bought the Max line for myself). Then buy a larger leather pillow for the corner (I like the look of this leather blue and white there – classic his EHD). And I’m back to my favorite crazy plant (and it won’t stop growing, let alone die, help!).

I love this version so far, but I love the other versions too!!!
how the whole room works together

As you can see, it’s back in the open living room nook and it’s working very well if you ask me.
First round or second round?

To be honest, I love them both. First thoughts are:
I like the round 1 kitchen art even more. In fact, I needed to steal a seascape for a seascape wall, so I changed the style.placed These two works by Marianne Pars I like this for the second round, but it doesn’t hold the same impactful space.

I like the light on the table in Round 1 (obviously), but in Round 2 it’s blocked by the rags. By the way, opening these all the way to the side is pretty easy. I also like where the wall lamps are placed in Round 1 and Round 2 (although this is just a matter of style and we didn’t move them).

Here it is clear that they are both super to me and I love them in the same way. Round 1 is simply more curated and more perfectly designed, while Round 2 is more youthful, fun and eclectic. I don’t have Max’s pillows anymore, so I can’t even go back to Round One if I wanted to (unless they made them 🙂 ), but I want to protect those plush pillows. rejuvenating velvet pillow Keep away from children with marinara. So maybe I’ll merge the two. The stool is Henderson, but I’m thinking about Sunbrella pillows and leather pillows.
I’m really curious which one you prefer. You can’t piss me off (you can, but not on this one). First round or second round?
