Competition among Southwest giants set to take new twists and turns in bigger changes than ever before Bristol Bears Community Foundation A tag rugby tournament sponsored by Paramount.
A business men’s and women’s team transforms their workplace into a rugby field to raise money for a foundation that supports Bristol and surrounding communities.
Over the next few months, 36 teams across real estate, construction, finance, legal and business services will battle under the floodlights at the Bears’ Ashton Gate home. Marching at the Lockleaze Sports Center.
Craig Capel, Bristol Bears Community Foundation Development Manager, said: This popular tournament is first and foremost designed to be fun and inclusive, but also competitive, with Southwest companies participating to raise important funds for a greater cause. I am hoping for
“All the money raised will use the power of rugby to help the most disadvantaged in our communities and help attract children aged 5 to 103.”
Sign up now for three days of tournament heats at the Lockleaze Sports Center before the finals at Ashton Gate.
Business Development Manager Sari Gardner said:
“Our region is blessed with great talent and businessmen, and it will be great to see them show that they can combine brains and brawn on the premier sporting stage once the tournament begins. We look forward to a series of great events not only suitable for our sporting abilities, but for all those keen to showcase their sporting prowess and secure local bragging rights.”
At last year’s Paramount Property Tag Rugby Tournament, 150 players put commercial rivalries aside to raise £3,000 for the Foundation.
Tournament heats will be held on the following dates:
- March 16 – Real Estate and Construction
- March 30 – Legal and Finance
- April 20 – Business Services
- May 3 – Finals
