Can I change the height of the building? These can be shortened, but they can easily topple over if they are tall.
Can you build bigger (wider, etc.)? – I haven’t tested it yet, but I would like to finish building a 2×12 coffee table. I don’t know why it doesn’t work, but I should do some testing before I share my plans.
Can the tabletop circle be cut with a jigsaw? Yes, but it’s very difficult to keep the jigsaw blade vertical and horizontal. So a circular saw is a cleaner option. You can also use a table saw or router.
