best travel tote
Finding the best travel tote is essential for a smooth and relaxed flight. Our totes and carry-ons are the right size, weight and capacity for short trips. On the other hand, other types of carry-on luggage such as suitcases and backpacks can take up too much space during your flight. If you’re looking to invest in a tote bag, here are some of my picks for the best summer vacations.
Which carry-on bag has the most space?
Over the years, I’ve purchased a variety of carry-ons, but few have room for all of my clothing, accessories, toiletries, and other travel essentials.but Tumi International Carry-on was an absolute game changer. It’s expensive, but I’ve been using it for many years as the ultimate travel bag. It also comes with gold metal fittings, making it more stylish than a typical carry bag.
rachel loves her carry-on away. A more affordable option for my Tumi carry-on. It’s big enough to hold everything you need for summer travel.

Essential toiletries for travel
I carry all my beauty essentials on the plane. From nighttime skincare favorites to everyday lipsticks, we have it all. Start the packing process by stocking up on all the grooming and beauty products you use every day. This makes it easy to visualize the products you actually need for your trip.
My tip when packing toiletries is to buy two of everything. One for home and one for travel. If you’ve already packed your travel kit and are ready to leave, it makes the packing process easier. A second tip is to unpack your toiletries after your trip and restock with skincare, toothpaste, and old beauty products. That way, you know you have enough stock in your toiletry bag. There’s nothing worse than arriving at your destination and discovering your lotion has run out.
Beauty items I love while traveling
Clinique Cleansing Balm – $38: Gently and effectively removes makeup and sunscreen.
Black Girl Sunscreen – $15.99: This SPF 30 broad spectrum sunscreen contains natural ingredients. The sunscreen is highly moisturizing and does not leave a white cast.
Danessa Myrix Beauty – $18: My go-to lip and cheek pigment. You don’t need a lot and it’s easy to blend. Can’t wait to try it as a lipstick or blush.
NARS Mini Radiant Concealer – $15: Brightens and corrects skin. Its mini size makes it perfect for travel.
La Mer Moisturizing Cream – $100: One of my favorite moisturizers. Super thick and creamy.
Dior Mascara – $32: Keep your vacation makeup simple. But a small amount of mascara goes a long way.

Best Tips To Avoid Overpacking
It’s hard to predict everything you’ll need while you’re on the go. Rachel gave us some great advice, which I think everyone needs to learn. If you’re preparing for a trip that visits multiple locations, it’s okay to repeat your outfit. These places have different people. Therefore, you will not see people wearing the same clothes. Bring versatile outfits that you can mix and match for different occasions. It makes packing so much easier!
Her advice was very helpful when packing for Lisbon. It may be one of the few occasions in my life when I didn’t pack too much. If you’re an overpacker like me, share in the comments!
