Have you ever bought beautiful white bed linen, only to find it faded over time, become dingy, or keep washing? We hope you find it useful in the maintenance and care of your
start with quality
100% cotton 200 thread count bed linen is the entry level you are looking at. Buy from a reputable source – look at the fabric. It should not look like “reeds” when held up to the light. Good fabrics are smooth to the touch and crisp to the touch.
wash with hot water
Do you wash your dishes and pots in cold water? That’s why we recommend hot water. Body sebum, sweat, and skin flakes are all harder to remove with less than hot water. Most wash labels recommend a minimum of 60°C, but 100% cotton will do well in 90°C water.
know your water
If you are in a remote area, your water may contain naturally occurring mineral deposits. This will affect the washing result. Knowing a little about the type of water (soft water, brackish water, iron-rich water) can help you decide what type and amount of detergent to use.
soap
Linen Drawer has developed a detergent that meets the need for thorough cleaning without damaging the product. But if you have a favorite, use it sparingly (see package recommendations) – and make sure it works at higher temperatures.
rinse
Rinsing is a very important step in keeping white bedding white. Residual detergent is not good for bed linens and affects the feel and comfort of bedding. Always rinse with lukewarm water before rinsing with lukewarm water. It’s never just cold water.
Truth about fabric softener
Never use fabric softeners!! Fabric softeners contain silicone particles that coat fabrics and reduce breathability, making them more prone to staining over time.
Soil is an issue that should be addressed before a product is thoroughly cleaned.

Bleach – Not an automatic solution.
Bleach will damage cotton fabric, so try all stain removal methods before resorting to bleach. I really want to get rid of the residue because it will only damage my beautiful cotton bed linen.
drying
For those who prefer line drying or tumble drying, you should ensure that the bed linen is still damp before ironing it.
Ironing
If you carefully shake and hang the bed linen when line drying, the bedding should dry easily without wrinkling too much. Be careful not to let the bed linen dry before ironing. Iron it with a hot iron, let the bed linen cool and then fold it carefully.
Still, following the steps above will yield white, crisp bed linens time and time again. ?
