KOBO Africa is a brand born out of a lifelong friendship between Natalie and Christina, two best friends who share a passion for beautiful blankets and throws made in South Africa.
In 2019, these friends embarked on a mission to showcase the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of blankets and throws made in South Africa. Under the name Love Jacaranda, they have created an online store that serves as a platform for these works. As the business grew, it became clear that a new name was needed to truly represent their values and brand essence. Thus KOBO Africa was born.
“Kobo” means blanket in the Sesotho language, which perfectly encapsulates the heart and spirit of KOBO Africa, reaffirming the company’s commitment to supporting local industries and celebrating African culture. . Our line of blankets and throws has been meticulously curated, offering a diverse selection of designs, colors and yarns to suit every taste and style.
