Alice W today Alice Wingarden I am here to share about the creation of Eclectic gallery walls with vintage art. Alice has a beautiful eye for design and shows us how old art and vintage items can be combined to create a beautiful and aesthetic gallery wall display on a blank wall in your home that you want to be the focal point.
hello everyone!I am very happy to be here today to share my opinion. impromptu gallery wall. She was thrilled when Jennifer asked her to contribute to her wonderful blog. I look forward to sharing her style with you. Today we’ll start with an impromptu eclectic gallery wall that we’ve built up on the fly. There are lots of great posts on planning gallery walls, how to place them like that, and step-by-step tutorials for assembly. I think they are great.
.
But sometimes…I like to let my creativity run free and just let it fly.
The inspiration for this particular gallery wall came from a collection of antique fashion prints I framed. I started hanging them together on the wall, but I didn’t feel the composition was complete. One afternoon, I decided to fill this wall of my art studio with framed vintage images and collectibles. I live in a small house where he has only two bedrooms. As such, the art studio occupies half (or more) of the master bedroom.
A small space can make a big impact by placing artwork as a focal point on a blank wall
For a while our beds were on this side of the room, but we decided to change the situation and move the studio over here. Now you have wall art that will inspire you to look at while creating. To create this look, I started by hanging the framed art pieces in small groups centered and spread out. When I put it together, I had my mom come over and help me see where each piece was going before I nailed it to the wall. This process can be intimidating to some, but I knew that I was the only one who had to enjoy it, as this is a part of the room that almost no one else is in. If you are afraid of such many nail holes, instead of using a hammer and nails when hanging your work, he should use 3M hooks as hanger hardware whenever possible. If I had what I had, I would have done it, but I couldn’t wait to finish this wall.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match different frame styles and different sizes for a fun and eclectic look.
When decorating art, I asked myself what do i like That’s the question I asked while picking up the piece to try on the wall. Besides antique fashion prints, I love old religious items, so I included some old art prints and vintage rosaries. I added a romantic image to the pastoral sheep scene.
Sticking to a similar color scheme helps keep your collaged gallery walls consistent
I paid attention to the details while combining works of different styles. There was a hint of green in another old frame and fashion print, so I picked it up and added decorative plates and paintings in similar shades of green.
Eclectic gallery walls go well with a variety of textures and shapes, so I added a textile wall hanging, an old ruler in the shape of W (our last name), and my grandmother’s art tools. My grandfather gave me a metal number “6”. It was my grandfather’s house number, and it had been in my grandparents’ house for many years. I love adding pieces of sentimental value to my interiors.
All together is never “perfect” and some “professional gallery wall designers” will probably find many faults in this lack of planning and layout, but I see beauty in imperfections. is dedicated to finding I think that’s what makes a home a home. Not perfect, but But it’s me. And after all, that’s what matters when decorating a home, right? that you love what you live with and that it expresses who you are, the story you want to tell.
