Casa Morelli is a completely restored villa in the Chianti hills in the heart of Tuscany. holzrausch Expanded with a spacious outdoor area. The heart of the home is now a modern open living/dining area with kitchen. Large panoramic windows that can be opened fully, combined with specially handcrafted cot floors, seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor spaces and offer views of the rolling Chianti hills. In the spirit of using as few materials as possible, cots are also used as wall coverings in showers, fireplaces and kitchens. Bog oak wood paneling, sturdy travertine block vanity, and slightly iridescent wall plaster accentuate the home’s handcrafted character. The free-standing furniture was specially designed and handcrafted by Klaus Lichtenegger.
