The kitchen was very dated but had a great layout to work in. Wendy wanted to give this kitchen a makeover without breaking the budget. Reworking the kitchen doors, benchtops, and splashback surfaces allowed the team to update without replacing.


I replaced the vinyl flooring in the kitchen with herringbone flooring. Herringbone details add a touch of luxury. I couldn’t exactly match the original timber floors in the rest of the house, so I contrasted the floors in the kitchen to define the area and make it feel purposeful. .


Previously, half walls between the lounge and hallway made the room feel cramped. Removing it made the space feel more spacious. To maintain the home’s elegant feel, Wendy chose cool neutral tones for his paint scheme.

The team didn’t have the budget to build all four bedrooms, so just two of them had new carpet, painted and styled to show potential buyers what the property would look like. I was.
