Law firm McCarter & English recently hired Francis Kaufman Architects (FCA) to design a new office in Newark, New Jersey.
“Aiming to enhance the look and feel of our existing workplace, McCarter & English wanted a space that reflected a thriving corporate culture, legal expertise and dedication to strong client relationships. The redesigned office features a subdued color palette with accents of orange, purple, and blue, bringing a cohesive aesthetic throughout the space and subtly enhancing the company’s brand image. , and some other project highlights outlined below.
The office front has been replaced with glass in place of plasterboard throughout high-traffic areas, improving access to natural light and creating an open atmosphere that fosters engagement among colleagues.
FCA reorganized the space to provide unobstructed visibility and fostered connectivity across each practice floor alongside communal open areas that fostered social interaction.
To support McCarter’s transition to an increasing number of digital documents, FCA significantly reduced file space, creating more opportunities for dynamic office areas in its place.
Each updated office includes new furnishings, enhanced audiovisual features, lighting, and ancillary amenities named ‘Recharge’ located in each elevator lobby to keep you energized throughout the day. It functions as a small cafe perfect for socializing. “
