Investment firm DB Financial Investment hires architecture and interior design firm Stephen Leach Group to design a new office in Seoul, South Korea.
“It was important to build a space that not only met the client’s needs and expectations, but exceeded them. The design concept revolved around natural materials such as stone and wood, with soft lighting and calming elements. The focus was on transforming the waiting room into a hotel lounge-like atmosphere, with an automatic blind system that easily adjusts the natural light coming in from the large windows, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests walk in. It was also important to implement a private OP counter design and introduce food and beverage services that offer complimentary refreshments or accommodate catering events held within the space.
The seating and meeting areas differ according to their function. A number of private and semi-private offices are located around the perimeter, with comfortable sofas and seating for small groups in the center. The addition of Spacelogic Swiss-made modular furniture creates a highly refined form that is highly functional and looks streamlined and elegant. With a backdrop of exclusive TORO murals, custom Interscape greens, and room-perfect lighting, it’s easy to set up a highly versatile seminar space for events or large group presentations. Carpet tiles, soft pillow-like shapes, rounded edges and circular motifs help soften rooms, entryways, and curved ceiling elements, drawing visual interest upwards and turning every nook and cranny of the office.
