Streaming tech company Roku hires architecture and interior design firm Denton to design a new office in Cardiff, Wales.
“On entry, visitors are greeted by a custom graphic wall, a striking reception desk and custom shelving showcasing Roku’s bestsellers. The vibrant reception area, complete with neon signs, reflects the company’s strong brand identity. The office is equipped with a dedicated testing space and lab equipment, including smart TVs, to meet Roku’s specific needs.
A custom acoustic cascade was installed in the small collaboration space to create a sense of rest in the open-plan office. These not only provide alternative work places, but also divide the main space into separate zones.
The office features a collection of bespoke conference booths and a hub of conference, training and VC rooms that foster collaboration and team bonding among Roku employees.
Capturing the company’s success stories was an important part of Roku’s design requirements. Denton brought these achievements to life through wall graphics and conference room names inspired by popular local films and series such as ‘Gavin and Stacy’ and ‘Firefighter Sam’. In addition to agile workspaces, spacious breakout his areas encourage socializing and connecting, creating a true sense of community within the office. “
