“I created large horizontal alternating navy and white stripes around the tub to add an element of surprise and playfulness, but not make the tiles feel too cluttered,” says Munell Cruz. say. “I used white grout in the shower to make the navy pop and create a unified look between the different tile colors.”

designer tips. “When creating a dramatic focal point, make it the protagonist and keep other colors and materials understated so that different elements don’t compete for attention,” says Munell-Cruz.
